A production knife is a product that may mean something to the maker but what does it mean to the person wielding it? Knives are not always about features, sometimes what's more important is the connection you have with it. Just like that retro video game or that classic vintage car, there is a certain quality that is hard to explain with words. TSF's Super Beast is made by a one man show in Oregon with one hand. Dr. Jim lost the use of one hand & left his practice to start a new life. The culmination of His childhood experience with forging & metallurgy combined with family history with WWII brought on the creation of Three Sisters Forge. Roughly 60% of TSF's orders go towards Mil & LEO.

The super beast was created based on input received from LE & Military folks with specs & testing done. The screws are the largest torques available & are all hardened. The blade is 5mm thick with CPM 154CM blade steel chosen for it's corrosion resistance & triple heat treated which is the absolute best quality & time consuming heat treating around.

Going the distance
All the hardware is the largest size torque screw available to Jim. The blade is CPM 154cm that's been triple heated & tempered which if you research articles about his knives edge retention is outstanding. He chose CPM154cm because of it's better corrosion resistance. The lock bar face is also carbidized with Tungsten ( a tool steel) which makes the lock bar not wear out quickly or jam. |

*Adding a layer of Tungsten (a tool steel similar to molybdenum) helps solidify the lock bar surface & provide more solid lock up & disengagement without it wearing out or jamming. A key feature a tactical folder needs is consistency so that it is reliable. This process ensures that LEO & Military receive the best. |
