Fox Military-Citadel Collaboration "Deimos" Tactical Khukiri
A tough survival knife for the outdoors.
For most individuals that aren't aware of surviving under stressful situations they may not appreciate a larger folding worker knife because they have not dealt with the need to quickly & easily close & put away their knife. In most tactical situations key design features become crucial & every aspect of a knife becomes necessary.
One of the best tactical knives.
1. You can flick the knife open with your wrist, add zip ties to the hole to wave it, or use the flipper
2. The knife has a finger guard that's steep & has strong jimping so that there's no way with or without gloves you will slip
3. The blade tip is easy to reprofile if it breaks & the steel is stain proof & has cobalt in it which makes it very strong & tough
4. You only need one size torque or allen to disassemble the entire knife making maintenance simple

Final Thoughts on the deimos
The main thing that limits this knives potential is the lack of a lock bar stabilizer. If you watch the two part vid showing the knife being tested hard you will know that when the blade receives extreme negative force the lock bar slides inward toward the spine of the handle. It's the only real flaw. Bear in mind of course there's no need to ever test the knife this way but it's reassuring to know the lock is capable of withstanding extreme abuse & not unlock.

Things to consider:
-the pocket clip has two different sized screws. The smaller one is fragile & can easily snap so be careful when tightening
-the other screws a e moderately hardened -the n690 steel is impressively durable to impacts but the blade is thinner than most hard use folders. A unique swedge design along the top of the blade make reprofiling a breeze if the tip breaks -any tactical folder meant for heavy use should have a choil for your finger in case the knife unlocks to prevent injury. This one is no worry |
Important notes for owners:
The pocket clip has two screws that hold it in place. One is smaller & can snap if overtightened because the screw is hardened. The next thing is on both version, either the micarta or zyricote wood handle material options the screws don't have a solid stopping point because the wood & micarta are soft so when screwing in avoid over-tightening them to avoid damage.
