//CONCEPT
// The largest size option for the XM folding series of knives, the XM 24 takes the already sufficient engineering of the XM-18 3.5" blade model and adds more reinforcement to each area. The knife is definitely a specialty item being the price is high & the weight and fact that it's a folding pocket knife make it not realistically what professionals in law or military would utilize. But for fans and those that like tactical knives it represents a folding knife capable of extreme use once opened & locked. //PERFORMANCE
// Throughout the years since the XM series was introduced there has been a consistent positive track record in terms of reliability and lock durability. //FINAL IMPRESSIONS
// One of the best examples of tough, straightforward reliability in custom/mid tech knives. A knife that has proven itself and will last a lifetime with proper care. |
//CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
// The XM folding series has always represented high value because of it's incredible level of detail and precision. Older models are excellent examples of custom/mid tech knife making despite having some detent issues. The shift towards increasing production on newer XM folders that have the new laser etched logo can sometimes exhibit minor aesthetic flaws. Despite this the track record for reliable lock up & no issues has been near flawless & any owner can feel confident in the XM folder. The design has 3 handle screws for lots of rigidity plus the pivot screw. The titanium frame lock side is thick and there's a titanium liner on the other to add further rigidity to prevent any flex.
//ROLE & APPLICATIONS
// Large enough and backed by enough blade and lock bar material to be used for very heavy tasks. The overall size and weight of this knife make it capable of being used for self defense. |
