//Featured Video 40-80 feet range comparison
// Watch this video demonstrate that maximum output isn't the determining factor in good light projection. The combination of the Predator's XM-G2 type LED, deep reflector that projects the light farther & not over powered LED (compared to other lights here that disperse light too aggressively which immediately block your own visibility down range) produces cleaner visibility that's more usable and noticeable on camera. The Armytek was tested against other lights in the same size category but despite having moderate output it performed the best and sets the benchmark for this size class & operating range.

//CONCEPT
// Semi-compact utility/tactical light. Has a constant drain pattern which means optimal output till the battery is depleted. Body/frame is simple so the light can be attached easily to a variety of mounts. //PERFORMANCE
// Most people are aware that in foggy conditions their car's headlights and high beam disperse too much light immediately up close that it doesn't help. What the Predator does extremely well is project light through atmospheric conditions like air moisture & effectively light up far away distances of 60-80 feet. The reason is the light is not overpowered like many other competitor brands but instead produces a good balance of estimated 850-900 lumens* (based on real world testing) but projects it very far rather than over expose just up close. //ROLE & APPLICATIONS
// For self defense up close in tactical situations the striking bezel is excellent. The G2 LED is not overpowering but will still surprise blind someone. The main standout features of this light are the throw & and bezel. If you're looking for a compact home defense light capable of searching & defending if caught by surprise this is an interesting combination. |
//CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
// Armytek construction is always the best. Thicker/square threading is used at the joints for better durability. The aluminum body is coated in a matte finish for traction and low reflection. The lens is protected by a steel bezel & has an anti reflective coating used on high end cameras. //FINAL IMPRESSIONS
// The only drawback is the size & odd position for the pocket clip if carried bezel up. I wish the design around the reflector was more pocket friendly but it was designed for grip when striking. It's a mean looking light & very impressive real world performance. Many other claimed 1000 lumen lights don't give off the impression that they're projecting it very far. |
